I’ve had this for a couple years now so I feel like I can write an appropriate review. I do live in a climate where I am not able to use it year round, just want to make that clear because level of use does make a difference.Before buying this I’d never even been near a paddleboard. I’d seen them, wanted to try it but this was my first experience. I think I made a good choice. This has been a decent board to start off with. It was easy to use and get set up, pretty easy to store. Quality was good for the price point.The hand pump that comes with it is on the cheap side but it does work. This year I bought an electric pump that you connect to your car’s cigarette lighter thing and that makes things so much easier. But the hand pump is effective too. It takes awhile to pump up and you’ll feel like the gauge is broken because it literally doesn’t move for a looooong time! But it’s working, just takes awhile to start registering. Just keep pumping.I use the waterproof ocean bag that came with it a lot. It’s really useful.There are metal D rings that you can attach a kayak seat to. I bought one this year because I’m finding sitting down and paddling around is really fun and when I’m wearing contacts I don’t want to fall in the lake and have lake water in my eyes with contacts in all day. It’s nice to have both options.The paddle it comes with isn’t the best quality but it works just fine. On mine though the adjustable part doesn’t tighten up enough so it slides a little. That’s annoying but it’s easy to buy a new paddle and I haven’t so it must not annoy me too badly.I’m 5’10” and 200lbs and fit just fine on this board. My best friend will often come out with me and we’ll both sit on it and she’s just a bit smaller but we both fit just fine. We can sit facing eachother and just paddle around and chat enjoying the nice summer weather.If you’re new to this, watch some YouTube videos on how to set up and also how to deflate and store. I feel like all the issues I had learning to set this up were experienced by others so there will likely be a quick answer to any issue you’re having.
